Herma Shipping and Transport Corporation has commissioned the Herma Shipyard Inc. to build a 12,000 bbl double hull tanker. The tanker will be used by Chevron Philippines to deliver petroleum products to designated depots around the Philippines. It will have the capability to carry five different grades of white petroleum products within its natural segregation. As was the case with the first tanker,  the recently launched M/T Matikas, the 2nd tanker will be classed by the American Bureau of Shipping and built according to international standards. Construction of the tanker has already begun and is slated for delivery in the 1st quarter of 2009.
