Petron Reps Visits Herma Shipyard

Recently, the Bids and Awards Committee of Petron Corporation led by Mr. Filemon E. Antiporta, VP ? Supply & Operation, visited Herma Shipyard to check on the construction of the 22 MB Double Hull tanker which is being built to serve Petron?s hauling requirements for black products. With Mr.Antiporta were Messrs. Roland B. Salonga, Distribution Manager, Maximo S. Alquiros, Distribution Supervisor, Atty. Vicente R. Marquez, and Edgar C. Cagampan, Marine Safety Engineer. Accompanying the Petron group was HSTC?s President Enrico C. Cavestany with Mr. Primo R. Agbayani, VP ? Commercial & Quality Assurance, Capt. Danilo R. Mauro, VP ? Ship Management, Mr. Apolonio P. Marfito, Technical Mananger ? Drydocking and Mr. Peter S. Huang, Chartering Manager.
The Petron team was given a short orientation on the ship building processes utilizing Autoship Naval design Software and the actual construction being done. They were also given a tour of the shipyard facility and the construction site where the 22 MB tanker is being completed right on schedule.
After the tour everyone came away with a better appreciation of the shipbuilding process and the capabilities of the Herma shipyard and believed that the shipyard truly has a lot of potential. Everyone looked forward to going back later this year to see the progress of the project. Back to Archive
