Herma Shipping and Transport Corporation (HSTC) began in 1985 with one rented barge. Then known as Herma Corporation, HSTC provided hauling services for the bunkering activities of Caltex. The late 80s to early 90s was a period of tremendous growth for HSTC as HSTC expanded its operations to serve the hauling needs of oil players along all Bay & River routes. In 1992, HSTC began to offer hauling services along Coastal routes. As such, HSTC was now serving hauling requirements of oil players throughout the Philippines.

HSTC continued its rapid growth throughout the 90s en route to becoming the largest petroleum marine transport company in the Philippines today. Its standards of excellence have risen each year with all its vessels achieving certifications such as ISM and ISPS. While much has been achieved in the last twenty years, HSTC will continuously seek new ways to improve its operations in order to offer only the best service to its clients and partners.
